Gluten Free/Paleo Banana Berry Nut Bread- Trust me

Something about being on a restrictive eating plan like the Ultimate Reset or the 21 Day Fix (BOTH  programs I do often) that makes me want to make yummy, nutritious, baked goods.  Something about masochism that I'm oddly attracted to.  Kidding.  Not that serious.  But the bad bananas were pilling up and I know how much my little duder likes his BREAD!!

Last night I threw together a bunch of ingredients and it turned out surprising well. ACCORDING TO MY FAMILY, of course!! :)

Ok, I'll get right to it because for real, do you really care about my story when you have banana bread to make??  If you're like me you scroll right to the ingredients anyway!

You'll need:

Wet:
4-5 overly ripe bananas (mashed)
8 eggs room temp
1/2 cup coconut sugar ( I was originally gonna use honey when I remember I bought a coconut/cane sugar blend)
1/2 cup melted coconut oil
2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Dry:
1 cup coconut flour
1/2 cup tapioca flour
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp Himalayan salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder

Optional:
chocolate chips
walnuts
or  if you're like me....trail mix.

Simple.
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix wet ingredients with a spoon or hand mixer.
Whisk dry ingredients.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.

Mix again until all the flour is wet.  (Scrape the bottom!)
Fold in choc chips, nuts or.... I used a mixed nut, dried cranberry and chocolate chip trail

mix we had. (Soren loved it!)
Coat a loaf pan with coconut oil or almond oil.
I poured 3/4 the batter into the loaf pan. Filling it to about 2 inches from the top.
I baked it for 50 minutes.  We didn't let it cool long before I was serving it up to my lil guy.

Oh and I put a dollop of orange marmalade on it!!!

Easy Peasy!!! Enjoy!

Gall Bladder/Liver cleanse

It's funny, once you find out you have living creatures INSIDE of you, you desperately want to cleanse every organ of your body.

While in MN for a few weeks I visited a highly recommended Natural Doctor who BLEW MY MIND.  She knew SO much!!!  She shared so much. She had SO. MUCH. TO. SHARE!!

Serioulsy, this natural health journey has been an unending (and slightly overwhelming) experience.  There is so much to know and do.

So basically, this insanely smart, knowledgeable and really cool lady hooked me up to what is called a BIO feedback machine. It hooks around your wrist, your ankles and your forehead.  It's cute! haha

See:

Well. this machine gives you a feedback on emotional trauma, pathogens invading your body, organ function, and MUCH MUCH more.

I got back a small list of many pages. Small is all I could handle.  I rather get the feedback in tiny doses.  It seems more manageable.

These were some my results:

Weak liver
Clogged gall bladder
Tapeworm
Seeking peace and ease
Pinched vagus nerve
Leaky gut
High fungal

WOW. Fun, right?

Dr. D gave me a few protocols to follow and I had an entire week of vacation left before I could get home and start my cleanses.  That was a LONG week.  Something about knowing a TAPEWORM is inside of me, chilling out, making my intestines his meal ( yes he's a he) is mildly disturbing.  I wanted him OUT!!!

This whole blog started because I wanted to share my first parasite cleanse.  And that cleanse worked.  So many ailments I was dealing with, were relieved.  But I wasn't 100% better. I knew there was a lot of work to be done. The PARASITE CLEANSE I did first, does NOT kill Tapeworm.  I actually have a more aggressive cleanse on it's way to home home right now. And I of course will share  the results when I do it.

I also knew that before I could cleanse any other organ, a parasite cleanse was the first step.  Thankfully, I had already initiated that process and had completed a 6 week cleanse.

This led me to my first organ cleanse.  The Gall bladder. In not so scientific terms ::  The gall bladder is a little sack that hangs off the liver.  The liver dumps bile into the gall bladder, the gall bladder adds enzymes and mineral salts to the bile, the new mixture is excreted into the small intestine to aid in the proper digestion of fats.

This job is not performed well when the gall bladder is clogged with gall stones.  Basically, if our livers are overloaded with toxins from constipation, drug and alcohol use, or over consumption of highly processed foods, the bile in the liver can became extremely concentrated. The thickened bile dumped into the gall bladder forms deposits (or stones) impairing the digestion of fats.

A few symptoms of improper fat digestion:

gas and bloating
dry or peeling skin
bitter taste in mouth
runny nose
chronic pain in the right shoulder near the blade or down the right side of the neck (me)
painful feet
a sore tongue
rectal itching <--could also be parasites.  This stuff all goes hand in hand.

So... we want to get the stones OUT.

There are a few different protocols and I will be trying them all.  I've done one cleanse and will perform another one in 6 weeks.

The following cleanse  is SIMPLE. Weird. Kind of gross. But effective.  You down??

Here's the deal:

Two days before you cleanse, you will take 2-500 MG capsules of malic acid with 8 oz of organic apple juice (nothing added). Do this morning and night for 2 days.

**TO FLUSH**  ((You'll want to do this on a weekend or when you have two days to CHILL.))

What else you'll need:

5oz coke a cola (trust me)
6oz EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
1/2 oz or 1 tablespoons lemon juice  (I did two, not sure why)

The night of the flush. Eat a LIGHT dinner, like a salad.  NO fried, processed or junk food. Eat a piece of sprouted bread like Ezekial to coat your stomach.

Add your ingredients (best if cold) to the blender and BLEND to mix the coke and oil. You DO NOT want to drink just oil. Gag.

Drink quickly. Go straight to bed, lay on your right side, lift your right knee to your heart and go to sleep.  You want to be in bed by 8p. This may have to do with the  gall bladder rejuvenating between 9p and 11p. :)

I was nauseous.

The next morning upon waking, drink an entire 10oz bottle of Magnesium Citrate. I stuck a straw in the bottle and got it down as quick as I could. Lay back down. I was very relaxed from the magnesium and just feeling YUCKY from, oh I don't know... drinking FIVE OUNCES OF OLIVE OIL?!?!??
TIRED

The magnesium is used to get your bowels MOVING. And it will. It took me turning onto my right side, and I immediately had to run to the bathroom.

Gall stones are GREEN and they float. So if you are like me and want to document things... get ready!! :)

I sifted through and removed and rinsed a large stone and several tiny stones.  The more I went to the bathroom, the more stones that came out.  I did not remove any after the first time. Overall, I had 1 large stone, about 15-20 black-eyed pea sized stones, and 100's of really small ones.

I LOVE the fact that I am getting these things out. I cannot say that I feel any different, yet, but I also know I need to do a few more cleanses.  I have a feeling the liver didn't really get touched.

For the those who really believe in natural healing, READ ON.

The liver is the anger organ, and stones are formed like little balls of anger. The day that I flushed, I was MAD.  Like downright angry.  I would suggest being alone when you do this. Do not make any decisions on this day, and if you can, don't talk to your spouse.  ahhahah  TRUST ME!! :)

Happy healing!!!!

Shea WHAT??? The cooler way to moisturize. ;)

So it's no surprise that WHAT we put ON our bodies, is just as important as what we PUT IN.  I know it doesn't seem like it would be, but it is.  We are covered in skin (hopefully) and our skin  is porous, and absorbs the ingredients we slather on.

I am NOT GONNA LIE.. I am not perfect in this area.  I still have some of my favorite beauty products that I haven't turned the corner on.

However, I make as many household products as clean as I can! :)

And I've found moisturizers to be pretty easy to convert.

One of my favorite ways to moisturize is with SHEA BUTTER!!  And NO, it's not because my middle name is Shea.  Well.... maybe a tiny bit why.

But it's also because it is NATURALLY derived from the seed of the Shea tree.  And doesn't need to be altered to be useful. When it is extracted and prepared without the use of chemicals and  100% pure, it is and is often referred to the 'skin's best friend'.

It's an all natural vitamin A cream and has a number of benefits for the skin.
Made from a large amount of fatty acids, it proves to be one of the best natural skin products and has been linked to improving:

-dry skin
-skin rashes
-skin peeling
-blemishes and wrinkles
-itching skin
-sunburn
-skin wounds
-rough or cracked skin
-stretch marks
-muscle fatigue
-eczema and dermatitis

and it's just straight up super-moisturizing.

BUT, not all Shea butter is created equal.  I get MINE off Amazon and it is 100% pure, raw an unrefined.  It doesn't need to be heated or chemically altered and should be a uniform beige color, not green, brown, or white. Just beige. If it's got a funny smell, it's the right one. Don't worry, the smell disappears after you apply it. ;)

I'll be REAL with you... it's not the MOST convenient moisturizer.  It has to melt in your hands (like any other butter) before applied to your skin. And even then, it's not super silky smooth to rub on.  But the result is worth it.  I have soft, moisturized, EVEN skin and PEACE that I'm not applying chemicals to my LARGEST ORGAN. :) '

Give it a shot.  It's fairly inexpensive, lasts forever, and a little goes a long way!

I keep a bowl next to my bed and use the it as my after-shower moisturizer and my night cream.

So far, so good!!

Other moisturizers I get down with:

Tates Miracle Conditioner and

Cold-pressed unrefined Coconut oil. :)

Where the Sun Don't Shine: Garlic Enema

ahhahahah I am LAUGHING because I obviously have NO shame on my Facebook page,  because I very openly talk about enemas.  DUDE, I forget they aren't everyone's normal.

BUT, if you have been parasite cleansing or thinking about it... you have most likely ran into some enema talk or maybe have even entertained the idea.

Here is a little about my experience....

I am starting the last 2 weeks (of 3-2 week series) of my parasite cleanse.  And a major pain in my upper left intestines had me DOWN an OUT all last week (on my off week).  I was super bloated and every step on my left foot felt like it would burst my intestines.

That is when I said I HAVE TO STOP and take the time for this enema. Truth is, it's not a WHOLE lot of time, but it IS prep and somewhat inconvenient... I mean... THINK about it.  hahahaha

But I do feel they are necessary in removing built up debris and parasites from the colon.  Fiber and clay are good, but sometimes, you need a little extra.

How I prepare my garlic enema.
***Garlic is anti-bacterial amongst many of it's health benefits and is known in the parasite world to effectively weaken the parasites so they lose their grip on your intestinal wall and thereby are flushed from the intestines.

What you will need:

- an enema bag
- distilled water
- a natural disinfectant (like lemon essential oil perhaps)
- 3-6 garlic fresh cloves
- stainless steel pot
- lubricant (EVCO)

First I ordered a 2 quart enema bag from Amazon.  I read in forums you could get them from CVS and/or Walmart, but I had no luck in retail stores.

I'm not sure I LOVE this one. It's pink and rubber and it SMELLS weird.  Because I know the water running through it, will be entering my body, I wanted to clean the enema bag thoroughly. And I did something I normally wouldn't do (but read in a parasite book to do) and I used a tsp of BLEACH in a gallon of water and soaked the enema bag and all its pieces for like an hour.  Moving forward, I will most likely use lemon essential oil and would recommend you do the same.  Rinse with distilled water.

enema bag
Meanwhile, I poured 1 quart (4 cups) distilled water in a stainless pot and brought to a boil. Once the water reached boiling, I removed it from the heat and added my CHOPPED fresh garlic cloves. I covered the pot and let the garlic steep in the hot water for an hour OR until warm. Like, warm enough to be administered.

The garlic needs to be crushed or sliced.

I used a hand held mesh strainer to catch the garlic pieces and poured the garlic water into the enema bag.  Make sure the clamp on the hose is clamped. Otherwise you'll lose your liquid.

When inserting the enema tip, you can use a lubricant like Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Just rub a little bit on the tip. Also before inserting, release the clamp that is on the hose of your enema, just til a bit of liquid comes out. This removes all air bubbles.

You can lay on your left side or get on your hands and knees to receive the enema. I usually lay on my side in the bathtub and go to my happy place! :)  Which iiiiiiiissssss... reading about enemas and parasites!!!!!!

I set the countdown on my phone for 30 minutes. I try to hold the enema that long, but in my experience... one wrong move and holding is no longer an option.

I will follow this up tomorrow with a probiotic enema in which I will empty 2-3 probiotic capsules into 12 oz distilled water tonight and let it sit at room temperature. This will be my first probiotic enema. I hear you have to work to get it mixed. Will keep you posted!!!   But this will replenish the good bacteria that the garlic and enema wash away.

I followed this enema with an ANTI PARASITIC SMOOTHIE.

PARASITE CLEANSE UPDATE!!!!

So, the past four cleansing weeks I expelled eggs, liver flukes and what seemed to be worm casings.  But I wasn't going to be satisfied until I saw ADULT worms.  It's part of this process, you want to SEE the things coming out to feel like it's all working.

GRANTED, you will need to actually LOOK.  And not just look in the toilet, but actually go through the stool.  Not always fun and def not always convenient, but after an enema... you DEF want to look.

I was pleased to find 2 large adult worms, and numerous little alien-looking things (that I saw before with my coffee enema) and an 8-9 inch mass of what looked to be either intestinal mucus or clumps of worms covered in mucus.  It was disturbing and I didn't take a picture of THAT.  I did show my Mom though... hahaha.

Ok, so... moral of the story.  Parasite cleansing is a PROCESS.  You will want to take the herbs, you will want to eat anti-parastic foods, and you will want to use enemas.  And I have even veered to a vegan diet with no grains or sugars.  Parasites love things that break down into sugar and they love animal products and processed foods.  I am determined and EXCITED about this journey. And I know it is seriously JUST the beginning!

I will keep posting about the additional cleanses I do, when I do them!  I have 2 weeks left on this particular cleanse.

Stay Well Sunshine!

This is a blog on my personal experiences. I am sharing my journey and what is working for me. I am not here to diagnose or treat you. And what I do is not FDA approved. Thank God.

Fabulous Raw Pumpkin Pie!!!

So I've been eating this prominently raw diet to better assist the parasite cleanse I'm on.

Well, tomorrow is Thanksgiving and uuummm... I like pie. :)  Actually, my Husband REALLY likes pie.

Since our host said to bring NOTHING.. I of course, made two desserts.  One being

THE FABULOUS RAW PUMPKIN PIE!!!

So easy!! You just need the ingredients!!!

For the crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups raw macadamia nuts, walnuts or pecans. ( I had them all, so I used them all)
  • 1/2 cup dates (Then seek the bag!!!)
  • 1/4 cup coconut, unsweetened and dried. ( I use Bob's Red Mill)
  • 1/8 tsp Himalayan salt
For the pie filling:

  • 2 cups cashews
  • 1 cup chopped raw pumpkin* ( I used a sweet pie pumpkin)
  • 1 cup chopped raw carrots
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup organic agave nectar ( I know, I know)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 TBS vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp H. salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp allspice
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
If you want to save time and are ok with an ALMOST raw pie, you can use 1 cup canned pumpkin. ;)

1. First, start the crust.  Add your nuts to the food processor and process until crumbly.  Add the dates, coconut and the salt.  Process again until sticky.  You should be able to pinch it together and it stick!

2. Empty the crust mixture into your pie plate of choice.  (I used a square shallow glass dish the 1st time. And used a deeper glass bowl the second time)  Press the crust into the plate bringing it up around the sides. ( I used a short drinking glass to do this)

3. Next, you're making the filling.  Put all the pie filling ingredients into a high powered blender and blend until VERY smooth.  (I used a VitaMix and used the smoothie selection) If it gets stuck and nothings moving, stop the blender and shake around to get any air pockets out.

4.  Pour pie filling into the crust. Smooth out the top.... or not. :)

5. Place in the freezer for at least 4 hours.

6. Keep in freezer after serving.

It tastes GREAT.. Just like pumpkin pie!!!!

Simple 4 Ingredient Raw Pumpkin Seed Dip

I don't know about you, but I like to keep things SIMPLE.  Life, remedies, directions...food!

And you really can't get any more simple than this.

This dip consists of 4 ingredients that I urge you to keep as staples in your home.  To make this DELICIOUSNESS, grab the following items:

1 cup pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup Apple Cider vinegar (ACV)
2 shakes turmeric
2 TBS minced garlic

You're gonna need a high quality food processor!

For a smoother consistency, start by processing the seeds into a mill (about a minute).  Then, add the rest of the ingredients and blend for another minute.

I just threw it all in to taste test and got this: >>>>>>>>>>

*Warning, you must like vinegar!  haha  Even if you don't, LEARN TO!  So many benefits to ACV.

P.S. Pumpkin seeds are known to paralyze intestinal worms which prevents them from holding on to the intestinal walls during a bowel movement.

Yay for pumpkin seeds. In fact, each ingredient in this dip is anti-parasitic.   So are CARROTS, so get your dip on!!

Oh and take a colon cleanse like psyllium husk and bentonite clay!

Happy healing and eating to YOU!!!

Brussel and Broccoli Salad- Raw for the Win

Hey!!!!  Don't snuff it until you've tried it!!!! It's surprisingly REALLY good!

We get this weekly organic produce delivery. Often times we are left with a strange variety of foods. I am blessed in the way that I like pretty much all food.  And so does my Husband... AND get this.. so does my 3 year old. (p.s. that comes from giving him what we want him to have and no other options!)  So I can literally open the refrigerator and pull out the foods that need to be eaten and come up with a  meal... or at least a side dish.

And THAT is how the Raw Broccoli and Brussel Salad was born.

I love eating at least 1-2 raw meals a day.  It's not NEW knowledge that vitamins and minerals are depleted in the cooking process.  So, to get the most out of your daily diet, eat a few raw fruit and vegetable meals.

What I used:

For the salad:

1 bunch broccoli
15 brussels sprouts
4 carrots
1 cup Sunflower sprouts (because we had em)
1/2 red onion
1/4 cup dried cranberries (sweetened with apple juice)
1/4 cup golden raisins

For the dressing:
6 TBS Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
6 TBS Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
4 TBS Honey
4 tsp dijon mustard
4 tsp chia seeds
1/2 tsp Himalayan salt (or to taste)
1/2 tsp fresh graound black pepper
tumeric *optional

I trimmed the ends of all the veggies. Using a potato peeler,  I peeled the stems of the broccoli, the carrots, and took off the first few layers of the brussels. Threw it all in the food processor, using the shred blade and shredded those guys up. I chopped the red onion and tossed all ingredients in a bowl.

Lastly, whisk the dressing ingredients and fold into the salad.

It's beautiful, smells awesome, and tastes wonderful.

My husband LOVED it!!!

RAW FOR THE WIN!!!!

Made with your health in mind.
